The story of the dance

The children at Salomon Klein take different types of dance classes, including folkloric dancing.  These classes are taught by two teachers who specialize in Bolivian folkloric dance, which incorporate steps and customs from different Bolivian states.  Thanks to this training, the children develop their gross motor skills and abilities through music. The children enjoy practicing their dances in the open areas of the orphanage’s playground. One dance they learn is the traditional “cueca”, in which they wave a handkerchief to express themselves. 

Los niños en Salomon Klein toman diferentes tipos de clases de baile, incluyendo danzas folclóricas.  Estas clases son impartidas por dos profesores que se especializan en danza folklórica boliviana, que incorporan pasos y costumbres de los diferentes Estados bolivianos.  Gracias a esta formación, los niños desarrollan sus habilidades motoras gruesas y habilidades a través de la música. Los niños disfrutan practicando sus danzas en las áreas abiertas del parque infantil del orfanato. Una danza que aprenden es la tradicional "cueca", en que ondean un pañuelo para expresarse.

Due to Bolivian law, we cannot show the faces of the children, so we cover them with glasses or hats.
